crazy candy shop

on nicole: old zara stripped sweater, denim leggings from uniiko vintage

Last week, I ate too much sweets in those two days. I don't usually eat alot of sweets, I'm more inclined to cakes or chocolates rather then sweets. But sometimes, one is just in the mood to try these sweet treats like I'm filming some kind of TV-food review show.

1. hello kitty marshmellows
Verdict: bleah, not very nice :(

2. bread papa pastry filled with vailla cream
Verdict: nice texture and cream, it wasn't as sweet as i thought it would be. Would go nice with coffee I would think ;)

3. some long strip of chewy candy
verdict: attractive display and variety of flavors. But tastes like normal candy. Disappointing :(

riding to london

STREET WHEREblondeandbikes 01
If you saw my tweets yesterday (top right hand corner), you would have noticed that I bumped into this girl who seemed to have been plucked out from London and just dropped off cycling across Arab Street. While trying to discard my empty cup of ice kopi from yakun into my tote and then taking out my camera to get a shot of her before she cycled away, I caught this (wish i took her from the front though).

ARAB STREET Her silver vintage bicycle was decorated with red roses on the front basket and the same red roses adorned her little black handbag. Black felt fedora, peroxide blonde hair, loose tee, white denim cutoffs and converse uk flag, she really seemed like a character from the Sartorialist.

navigations & maps: a graduate's reflection

inthedetails-7D is wearing a lovely pink dress with a cute bow hairband to match

My graduation ceremony just passed last saturday, I never thought I'd be so happy to wear such an ugly hat. Prior to that, I was a little nervous at the fact that my job title now would probably be categorized as entrepreneur or Chief-Everything-Officer (CEO). I figured that it's only glamorous to be a risk-taker if you earn lots of money. However, at the moment I don't have that. But isn't sad that we seem to place our worth on the price tag of our income? So many times we limit and degrade ourselves to mere dollars and cents when one's value in life can be measured by so much more powerful things. Things or actions that last forever with rippling effects.

inthedetails-3aDon't you just love E's cute sleek bob?

As I play with my favourite girl ,E, I start to wonder that if I had my own children what would I say to them as they grow up? I'd give them the biggest hug and say that your life and self-worth is so much more then how the world may rate you, that God's love for you is unconditional and to look up and open your eyes to the abundance of life.

A very informal little video of what goes on in one of those places where people get facials and stuff. Finally got it uploaded on youtube. Now I've got to get ready for my graduation. For those of you who are freshies this semester at Singapore Management University and are going to the commencement too, I'm doubt you can spot me but if you do see me do come say hi! Would love to meet you girls :)

a little trip back

hajsel1
That day, Sel and I decided to visit Haji Lane again after a long period of drought. New shops have opened up, so I heard, and I wanted to take a look at them for myself. But first, a pit stop at Pasta Mania to replenish our calories. I ordered creamy chicken spaghetti and attacked it with my usual combination of a heavy shower of snow-like cheese, handful of chilli flakes and an overdose of tabasco sauce. Bellies filled, we were ready for a walk about Haji Lane with the final destination in mind - a cup of coffee at Plurk cafe.
